Description
Root parsley is the ideal vegetable for purees and soups, adding a spicy taste. Its leaves are similar to those of the flat-leaf parsley, but they grow larger.
Our tips:
- Suitable for open beds and greenhouses
- Requires a medium-heavy, deep, humus-rich soil
- Loosen the soil before sowing and enrich it with compost
- Requires plenty of water during the growth phase
- Always keep the soil moist, but avoid waterlogging
- Remove weeds regularly
- Can be stored in a dark and cool place with a temperature a little over 0°C - clean off any soil residue beforehand and wrap in paper
- Medium fertilisation requirements
- Strong seeds
- Suitable for balconies
- Good neighbours: strawberries, leeks, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers
- Bad neighbours: dill, carrot, fennel, chervil, celery
