Description
Sea buckthorn sales are booming in recent years as the berries are a premium superfood with lots of vitamins. Sea buckthorn oils are rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids. Similarly, the essential oils found in the fruit are valuable for skincare products. Sea buckthorn is often consumed as a fruit juice, jam or fruit tea. The berries can be harvested after 5 to 7 years. In Europe the sea buckthorn bush grows mainly in the dunes of the German North Sea and Baltic Sea coasts. The plant grows about 1.5 meters - 4 meters high and reaches an age of 30 to 40 years.
