Description
This variety has large, deep green leaves and fleshy flower heads. The pine cone-like heads of this thistle-like perennial are a delicacy; a true gourmet Mediterranean vegetable. The pure blue blossoms the plant grows makes them a beautiful decorative ornamental shrub.
- Location: Full sun, permeable, nutrient-rich soil, no waterlogging.
- Can overwinter under favorable conditions.
- Plant from mid-May (frost-free) outdoors.
