The solar module stores energy during the day, which is then released as light at night. The solar module also works without the glass and, due to its small size, fits in any backpack or bag, so you've got a convenient light wherever you go - ideal for camping! This light source is also a stylish design accent that helps reduce your environmental footprint.

Here's how it works:

• Place the Sonnenglas® or just the solar module in a bright location with direct sunlight.
• Once it is charged, you can turn it on using the magnetic lever switch.
• Fill the glass with flowers, sand or shells - get creative!
• The solar module can also be charged via USB-C; the cable is not included in the delivery.

The social aspect:

Since 2011, these solar-powered lamps have been handcrafted by the company Suntoy in South Africa. This has created new jobs, 75% of which are held by women. The workers are paid fairly; the starting salary is more than 50% above the local minimum wage with a standard 40-hour work week.
