Description
This modern Slovenian variety produces long turnips with a reddish-purple top. The 'Kranjska Podolgovata' (Carniolan Long) is particularly popular with home gardeners due to its cylindrical shape, which makes it much easier to slice. It has an outstanding flavour and is excellent for pickling. This variety thrives in all soil types, provided they remain sufficiently moist.
