Saflax Desert Rose

This enchanting plant brings the magical beauty of Arabian desert straight to your garden. It blooms on a decorative, water-storing succulent stem and delights with its countless magnificent flowers in white and pink.

Our tips:

• Distribute seeds on moist potting substrate or herb soil during sowing and cover only very lightly
• Cover the cultivation container with cling film and provide air holes to protect the soil from drying out
• Remove the film every two to three days for about two hours to prevent mould growth
• Place the cultivation container in a bright and warm location at 20 to 25°C
• Keep the soil surface moist but not wet
• A full sun location all year round is ideal
• Tolerates even prolonged lack of water
• Avoid overwatering and waterlogging at all costs
• Permeable substrate consisting of 30% garden soil and 70% filling material and water drainage is ideal
• Fertilise once a month with liquid cactus fertiliser during the growth and flowering phase
• Repot only in spring before budding; do not water until a few days after repotting
• The ambient temperature should never fall below 10°C
