Neudorff Marten Stop

Put a stop to gnawed cables and uninvited guests in the attic! The Marten Stop is an effective, chemical-free solution for repelling martens. Using modern ultrasonic technology, it protects your property without harming the animals.

Application:

• Place the ultrasonic device in the area where a marten infestation is suspected or is to be prevented.
• The device is powered by 3 x LR14 (Alkaline) batteries. To insert the batteries, unscrew the back of the device and place them in the battery compartment (ensure correct +/- polarity!).
• Set the ON/OFF switch to ON to activate the device – a blue LED on the unit will begin to flash.
• If the blue LED stops flashing, the batteries should be replaced.
• Battery life is approximately 5 months, depending on the quality of the batteries and the ambient temperature.

Positioning the Product:

• Position the device so that the sound waves can radiate freely from the speaker.
• Please note that ultrasound cannot penetrate solid materials such as walls, roofs, floors, or furniture.
• Similarly, ultrasound is dampened by soft textiles such as curtains.
• Therefore, ensure the unit is placed in an open area where sound waves can propagate freely.
• Always ensure the repeller is securely fastened to a surface, using either the provided cable ties (2 pcs) or screws (not included), depending on the mounting surface.
• Use in rooms, garages, sheds, or caravans: Place the device as low as possible, near the floor, with the speaker opening aligned horizontally along the ground.
• Use in engine compartments of cars: NEVER place the device on or near surfaces that can exceed 70°C – this can destroy the unit or significantly reduce its lifespan.
• Ensure the device is fastened securely so it does not come loose and cause damage to the engine bay. Always ensure the speaker opening is not obstructed to achieve optimal performance.
• The device is not rainproof and must not be placed outdoors without protection.
• Pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and other rodents are also affected by ultrasound and must not be kept in the same room or adjacent rooms.
• In rare cases, the human ear may perceive the ultrasound. If this occurs, place the product in rooms where it will not cause a disturbance.

How long will it take for martens to disappear?

• With proper use, a change can often be noticed immediately.
• In individual cases, it may take longer, up to 2 to 3 weeks.
