Magic Garden Seeds Permaculture Seed Set

If you want to grow fruit and vegetables in a small space, you can take advantage of the forest garden system. It is based on an ancient tradition that takes the different layers of vegetation into account. The upper layers are occupied by fruit trees and fruit-bearing climbing plants, while berry bushes grow in their shade. Herbs and rhizome-forming vegetables serve as ground cover.

This set contains 8 useful plants that are perfectly suited for a forest garden:

• Rhubarb (Rheum rhabarbarum)
  Originally from the Himalayas, this plant can be harvested from the second year onwards. Very popular for desserts.
• Welsh Onion (Allium fistulosum)
  Provides fresh greens with a wonderful onion aroma even in winter.
• "Red Russian" Kale (Brassica oleracea convar. acephala var.sabellica)
  The leaves turn red in the sun and have an excellent flavour.
• Edible Burdock (Arctium lappa var.sativa)
  An ancient root vegetable with non-woody roots.
• Wild Rocket, Rucola selvatica (Diplotaxis muralis)
  A very vigorous and aromatic variety. Regular harvesting is possible until flowering.
• Garden Orache (Atriplex hortensis)
  A rediscovered vegetable rarity where the leaves are used like spinach.
• "Purple Sprouting" Broccoli (Brassica oleracea)
  A high-yielding variety with small, crunchy broccoli florets that regrow continuously.
• "May Queen" Lettuce (Lactuca sativa)
  A very early variety that can be sown outdoors from January.
