Description
Comfrey is a traditional medicinal plant whose root extracts are used externally for bruises, strains, and sprains. It is also used in the kitchen – for example, its large, protein-rich leaves are ideal for wrapping or baking. The bell-shaped flowers are attractive to bees and bumblebees. Comfrey loves moist, nutrient-rich soils and is also ideal as mulch in the garden.
