Description
Watercress has green and fleshy leaves with a subtly pungent, spicy flavour. The leaves and fresh shoot tips are a tasty addition to salads, sauces and vegetables.
Tips:
- Light germinator - do not cover the seeds with soil, just press them down lightly
- Broadcast sowing in flower pots filled with loose soil. Place these in containers filled with water
- Make sure the water is clean
- Keep the soil thoroughly wet until germination, then keep it slightly waterlogged
- Change the water regularly
- Continuous harvest possible until it starts flowering
