Description
Chickweed is the ideal supplementary food for birds as it can be grown on the windowsill all year round and forms small, delicate leaves. Harvest right before consumption and feed straight away - a feast for your feathered friends. Chickweed can also be used in the kitchen as a salad herb.
Tips:
- Do not sow too densely in trays or pots (use fine, permeable potting compost); place in a warm and bright place and keep evenly moist
- Cover the seeds only thinly with soil
- Stagger sowing at intervals of 1 to 2 weeks
- Harvest with scissors as required and feed immediately
- Harvest height: 10 to 20 cm
