Description
"Benary's Giant White" zinnias are an ideal as cut flowers - they are the kind of flowers that elevate a simple bouquet to an eye-catching one. The large bright white flowers with a green centre are very showy and attractive. Drought-tolerant.
Tips:
- Zinnias have sensitive roots so sow the seeds in containers that can be planted in the garden along with the seedlings.
- Test before cutting flowers for the vase: Hold the stem approx. 8 cm below the flower and shake it gently. If the flower no longer wobbles but remains firm and upright, then it is ready to be cut.
- Regularly deadheading spent blooms will prolong the flowering period.
- The flowers will stay fresh for up to 7 days in a vase.
