Esschert Design Bee House

Bees are hardworking, beautiful to look at and extremely important for the environment! Unfortunately, many wild bee species are threatened by the decline in flora and nesting opportunities. This wonderful bee house was built so that we can make a contribution to the protection of beneficial insects. It is equipped with bamboo straws of different diameters so that different types of wild bees can nest here.

Female bees create little cells in the bamboo straws where they lay an egg and place some pollen and nectar for the larva. This carefully designed bee house provides female bees with the perfect place to prepare their nests.

Tip:

• It is best to hang it up in a sunny, south-facing location.
• Since bees like tidy corridors, we recommend wiping the bamboo straws clean with the brush provided before hanging up the apiary.
