Description
Wild rocket delights with its powerful, aromatic flavour and has a significantly longer shelf life than standard salad rocket. It grows slightly slower and can be harvested up to three times.
Our Tips:
- Similar frost resistance to lamb's lettuce; can also be grown in unheated polytunnels
- Start seeds indoors: for greenhouse cultivation from January (planting from mid-February); for outdoors from February (planting from mid-March); for over-wintering until late August (planting by mid-September)
- Direct sowing possible in greenhouses from mid-February and outdoors from March
- Continuous harvest possible with successive sowings every three weeks from April onwards
- Also suitable for growing in balcony planters
- Germination temperature: 20 to 25°C
