Description
This medium-sized, highly compact oakleaf lettuce is ideal for both spring and autumn cultivation. It is remarkably resistant to bottom rot and produces striking reddish-brown leaves with a subtle sweetness and a vibrant, fresh-green heart.
Our Tips:
- Germination Temperature: 10 to 15°C (max. 18°C).
- Summer Sowing: For summer crops, sow in the evening and provide shade with horticultural fleece. Note that temperatures above 20°C can significantly hinder or prevent germination.
- Sowing Depth: Do not sow too deep; lettuce seeds need light to trigger germination.
- Bolting: Going to seed is a stress response - usually caused by overcrowding, lack of water, or excessive heat.
- Growth: Medium development time with excellent standing ability (stays fresh in the field without deteriorating).
