Description

This striking Asian salad, featuring attractively serrated leaves with red veins, delights with its robust aroma and sharp, mustard-like flavour. It can be easily cultivated year-round in a greenhouse and is also perfectly suited for growing in small balcony planters - allowing you to enjoy delicious, fresh leafy greens whenever and wherever you like.

Our Tips:

  • Early Sowing: Indoors from February for March planting; for greenhouse cultivation, sow from January for February planting. For overwintering, sow by mid-September for October planting.
  • Direct Sowing: Open ground from March to September; greenhouse from February.
  • Optimal Sowing Period (Home Gardens): March to September.
  • Sowing Rate: 100 to 150g per 100m²; approx. 80 seeds per linear metre.
  • Germination Temperature: 15 to 20°C.
  • Pest Control: Watch out for flea beetles when growing in open ground - keep the soil well-loosened and consistently moist.
  • Culinary Use: The spicy leaves are excellent in salads, stir-fries, or as a garnish for soups.
