Description

This variety produces broad-round, vibrant orange fruits with yellow flesh and a delicate, nutty flavour. It is a reliable performer that thrives even in less-than-ideal locations, still yielding generously sized fruit where other varieties might struggle.

Our Tips:

  • Germination temperature: Above 22°C (crucial for rapid emergence within seven days).
  • Sowing & Planting: Direct sowing and outdoor planting should only begin from mid-May.
  • Handling: Do not "prick out" young plants; they have sensitive roots and prefer to be grown in individual pots.
  • Seedlings should not be "overgrown" (root-bound) when planted out; the ideal stage is when they have two to three true leaves.
  • Protect newly planted seedlings with horticultural fleece during chilly nights if temperatures drop below 10°C.
  • Edible Skin: The skin softens when cooked and is perfectly suitable for eating.
  • Excellent storage life.
  • Typical fruit weight: 1.2 to 1.5 kg.
