Description
Safflower is ideal for colouring food and fabrics as well as for dried flower arrangements. Its pollen strands can be used as an excellent substitute for saffron, (hence, also known as false saffron).
Tips:
- Sowing indoors early is not recommended; sow directly outdoors in a carefully prepared outdoor bed
- Cover the seeds with soil of seed thickness
- Keep evenly moist
- Requires good garden soil
